Our Vets

We have a team of eight friendly and caring vets, all of whom have a wealth of experience. All of our vets are required to undertake further study each year to continually improve and update their skills.


Dr Greg Firth BVetMed CertVOphthal. PhD MRCVS

Greg is an experienced vet who has undertaken extensive further study at the Universities of London and Glasgow. Greg has a young family and two cats. Greg also has a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery.

Steven Goodear BVSc MRCVS

Steven is an experienced vet who shares a house with two children, a wife, two dogs, four cats, four horses, 5 chickens, 5 ducks, and numerous pheasants. Steven has an interest in internal medicine, and in trying to avoid aquiring more pets/poultry at home.

Alyson Quieros

Alyson Quieros BVetMed MRCVS

Alyson is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine. She is a regular swimmer, getting up incredibly early to do a few lengths before work in the morning. Alyson has a cat called Murphy who is still taking lessons on how to use a cat flap after a number of years. Alyson has recently begun study for the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. 

Penny Mitchell BVetMed MRCVS

Penny is an experienced vet and has a young son who keeps her busy when she is not hard at work treating sick animals. Penny has a whippet called Teddy. Penny is also currently studying for the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.


James Baddeley BVM BVS med sci MRCVS

James is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine, and has a naughty young cat called Darwin. James  has particular interests in soft tissue surgery and oncology. He was born and raised in Yorkshire and likes to spend his sare time playing, writing and listening to music, and is a die hard Radiohead fan. He plays bass guitar and sings in a rock band called Brother’s gun. Look out for them playing at local Sheffield venues.


Cat Henstridge BVSc ESVPS Cert GP (SAM) MRCVS

Cat is an experienced vet who works with us here at Peak Vets. Cat also writes a number of articles for various veterinary and non-veterinary publications.

Philip Gillams BVetMed MRCVS

Philip has recenty joined our veterinary team from a rural practice up in Scotland. Philip is particularly interested in the fields of veterinary oncology and chemotherapy. He has a growing feline family which currently stands at 5.
