We seek an experienced, enthusiastic, and compassionate vet to join our happy and supportive vet team, that currently comprises of two certificate holders (one in small animal medicine and one in ophthalmology), as well as others studying diagnostic imaging, dermatology and surgery.
Peak Vets is an RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital, founded with the aim of providing high quality veterinary care for small animal patients. Primarily through reputation and word of mouth recommendation, it has thrived and blossomed into a highly regarded 6.5 FTE vet practice. With separate dog, cat, and isolation wards, two theatres and a further dental theatre, diagnostic imaging suite, in-house laboratory, and an armoury of technical equipment, the facilities at Peak Vets are extensive and modern, catering for all areas of veterinary medicine and surgery.
Peak Vets is a nurse training practice and all nurses are either RVNs or student veterinary nurses. The practice has onsite accommodation for a nurse to oversee hospitalised patients.
A single site practice in the southern suburbs of Sheffield adjacent to the Peak District National Park.
40-hour week with time off in lieu of working any weekends (on a 1 in 6 rota).
The successful candidate will understand the ethos of Peak Vets and will maintain and promote its reputation. This will be achieved by integration into our very friendly team of vets, nurses, and support staff who strive to provide an excellent standard of veterinary care with dedication, sensitivity, and compassion.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic team and will be encouraged to develop an interest or specialism through funded CPD. A candidate with an interest in surgery would be preferred, although any interest would be accommodated.
