Visiting Surgeon

David is a visiting surgeon at Peak and has been seeing referrals in a mobile capacity for over 10 years. He spends most of his time performing orthopaedic surgery, around two thirds of which involve the stifle; these are mainly cruciate and patellar luxation operations – near 450 in 2021 alone! David also performs a lot of fracture surgery and is available for other orthopaedic procedures, such as arthrodesis (joint fusion) and correction of angular limb deformities.  He still performs a range of soft tissue procedures, but these days, these are now fairly focused onto airway surgery, ear canal ablation and perineal rupture (perineal herniation).
