Out of Hours Vets | Late Evenings

At Peak Vets, we are very conscious your pets are part of your family and our priority is to ensure they have access to the very best care no matter what time of day or night it is. 

Please see below for our processes in relation to out-of-hours care:

If your pet is admitted during our opening hours

Overnight in-patient care is the responsibility of the on-call veterinary surgeon and registered veterinary nurse (RVN). A student veterinary nurse (SVN) resides on-site to make sure your pet is comfortable through the evening.

Routine out of hours in-patient checks are carried out at 23:00-00:00 every day with additional checks at 19:00 on Saturday and Sunday. When extra checks or monitoring is required, the veterinary surgeon will liaise with the on call RVN and SVN to arrange this and divide roles.

If your pet falls ill when we are closed, you should call the practice as normal on 0114 250 7733 and you will be transferred to the Vets Now team who will be happy to talk through your concerns.
