At Peak Vets, we are proud to have achieved the Investors in Environment (iiE) Bronze Accreditation.

We have identified the following key areas in which our business has impact on the environment

  • Consumption of electricity, gas and water
  • use of volatile halogenated anaesthetic gases
  • waste production and disposal
  • use of consumables
  • transport of personnel
  • procurement and supplies

The company, supported by management, aim to reduce these impacts and improve environmental performance.  We will comply with regulations relevant to our organisation as well as environmental regulations according to the EU and environment  agency.  We will continue to improve our environmental management system through annual reviews and updates, taking into account any changes within legislation, our organisation, and other factors.

We will aim to:

  • Reduce our waste and carbon emissions
  • Set a minimum annual reduction of 2% for all measured resources
  • Prevent environmental harm by maintaining projects such as Terracycling and flexible plastic fund and other OneHealth projects
  • make our progress available for independent assessment

We will continue to improve our environmental management system through annual reviews and updates, taking into account any changes with legislation, our organisation, and other factors. We will convey this policy to all Associates and make certain that they are provided with proper training to increase awareness of environmental matters.

The introduction and implementation of the Environmental Policy is a commitment of Peak Vets’ management and a shared responsibility with our Associates. Bethany Allen has designated responsibility for the day-to-day implementation of this policy.

The policy will be reviewed annually as part of the organisation’s overall plan.
