Wendy McCann

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Wendy graduated in 2023 with a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and Companion Animal Behaviour. She has been part of the Peak team since her student years, gaining valuable experience in both first opinion and referral practice, including a secondment at local referral practice Paragon this year.

Wendy enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, with a particular focus on anaesthesia and ensuring the best possible care for every patient. As the practice’s Rabbit Advocate, she helps promote excellent welfare and handling for our smaller patients. She especially loves getting to know both clients and their pets; she finds it rewarding to see animals grow in confidence and trust during their visits.

At home, Wendy shares her life with three rescue cats - including Miguel, who has a brain injury that makes him extra special - two rescue rabbits, and her recently adopted dog, Bessie. Outside of work, she enjoys walking with her dog and friends, playing football, and occasionally horse riding.
