Peak Vets now offers a dermatology referral service with Penelope (Penny) Mitchell BVetMed MRCVS CertAVP (VD) MRCVS.
Penny has completed the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Veterinary Dermatology) and is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Dermatology.
Penny is happy to see a range of skin problems, including but not limited to:
- Itch (pruritus)
- Hair loss (alopecia)
- Ear problems (Otitis Externa)
- Recurrent infections
- Scale and crusting disorders
- Nail or anal sac concerns
Skin conditions are often complex conditions that require further evaluation. Penny is very happy to assess new concerns or to review ongoing conditions to find the best management for owners and pets.
These appointments are particularly suited to ongoing conditions that are not responding to routine treatments, are recurring or not responding to usual treatments or where a vet recommends referral.
Clients already registered with Peak Vets
For regular Peak Vets clients with pets already registered at the clinic, dermatology appointments with Penny can be booked directly. Please speak to our reception team for more information.
Pet owners registered at another vet practice
If you would like a dermatology referral appointment for your pet, please ask your vet to arrange a referral. Once this has been done, we will be in touch with you to make an appointment. Patients can only be seen when a referral has been made by your own vet and we have received all the clinical history.
